We at Sagarlaxmi Agriseeds Pvt. Ltd. have understood the importance of seed in a farmer’s life for years now. Our vision is to give maximum growth to the farmer community through good quality seeds. Our present leader Mr. Dilip Majmudar brings in unique combination of family inheritance, practical exposure, knowledge, training and qualification which helps us to provide seeds that are results of seeds standard of agricultural research and development. Mr. Dilip Majmudar combines the legacy of three generations with modern day methodology of agricultural research and development and his business acumen in the most efficient way. Mr. Dilip Majmudar’s grandfather, Late Mr. V.M. Majmudar was the first agricultural technocrat from Gujarat having postgraduate degree in agriculture (M. Ag.). He served the farming community for more than 30 years. His father Late Dr. J.V. Majmudar was world renowned agriculture scientist. He served the government from 1942 to 1971 on various capacities including Research Scientist Pearl millet (Bajra) at Main Bajra Research Station, Jamanagar. After retirement from Agricultural University, he was invited and appointed at prestigious position in ICRISAT (International Crop Research Institute for Semi Arid Tropics, an international body funded by FAO and many countries) as Principal Pearl millet Breeder posted at headquarters, Hyderabad for 5 years. Mr. Dilip Majmudar is M.Sc. (Agriculture) with specialization in Plant breeding and Genetics having rich research and business experience of many years under a single roof of Sagarlaxmi Agriseeds Pvt. Ltd. Based on the experience gained from his father Dr. JV Majmudar on R&D and practical knowledge of seed sector while working at ICRISAT, he prompted his technocrat family to begin business of seeds under his leadership and guidance to serve farming community with improved high quality seeds.
